The Princess of Wales knows how to use power tools—and owns her own. While visiting Aros Hall on the Isle of Mull on Tuesday, the mom of three shared that she was gifted a chainsaw for Christmas. According to The Telegraph, Her Royal Highness revealed that she received a chainsaw as a gift for her garden projects.

During their visit to the local community hub, Prince William and Catherine were given a paintbrush and a nail gun to help with refurbishment. Per The Telegraph, the Prince of Wales teased his wife about not pulling the nail gun trigger too early, otherwise their trip would “be remembered for all the wrong reasons.”

The outlet also reported that when someone praised the Princess’ skills with the tool in front of cameras (“what can’t she do?”),  Prince William said, “That always happens.”

The Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales announced on Tuesday two new grants from the Community Impact Programme to support two key community spaces on the Isle of Mull: Aros Hall and Pennyghael Community Hall. Banjo Beale, interior designer and Mull resident, said: “It’s an absolute joy to be working with The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales to redesign and preserve these vital community spaces. Together, we’re not just restoring old walls—we’re reimagining what’s possible when community and creativity come together.”

Ahead of their trip to the Scottish Isles, Kensington Palace shared that the Prince and Prince would be spending “time with members of the local community reflecting on the power of social connection and the importance of protecting and championing the natural environment, two subjects which are close to both of Their Royal Highnesses’ hearts.”

The first day of the royal couple’s visit coincided with their 14th wedding anniversary. The Duke and Duchess of Rothesay, as they are known in Scotland, celebrated 14 years of marriage on April 29. The Waleses’ social media accounts shared a loved-up photo of the couple enjoying a quiet moment together on their special day. The romantic picture of the Prince and Princess sweetly holding each other was accompanied by a personal message from William and Catherine, which read: “Wonderful to be back on the Isle of Mull. Thank you to everyone for such a warm welcome ❤️ W & C.”

During their visit to Aros Hall on Tuesday, William recalled visiting the island when he and his wife were in college. According to HELLO!, the Prince said, “It was 2003 when we were here. We had a lovely time here – it’s wonderful.”

The Prince and Princess of Wales met while studying at the University of St. Andrews. The couple graduated from the school in 2005 and went on to get engaged in 2010 during a private holiday in Kenya. They then got married on April 29, 2011 at Westminster Abbey and are now parents of three: Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.
