Three’s Company star Jenilee Harrison made a name for herself as Cindy Snow on the hit ’80s sitcom, and enjoyed several successful years in Hollywood before deciding to escape the spotlight in favor of a quieter life raising and caring for animals.
The now-67-year-old, who has not acted onscreen since 2002, shocked fans with her stunning appearance in recent videos uploaded to Instagram that documented life on her farm with her family and bevy of animals.
As Jenilee shared a video of her kangaroo joey, Andy, in a pouch around her neck, and thanked her followers for their support, her fans took to the comment section to praise her incredible look 46 years after she first joined the Three’s Company cast.
“I know you’re Jenny, but all I see is Cindy when I look at you…” one wrote, while another added: “I loved your years on Three’s Company,” and a third chimed in: “I love me some Cindy Snow!”
Jenilee started out as a cheerleader for the Los Angeles Rams before she transitioned into acting with small roles in CHiPs and 240-Robert. She landed the role of Cindy in Three’s Company in 1980 after Suzanne Somers left the show due to a contract dispute, and stayed for two seasons as her klutzy cousin.
The blonde beauty revealed just how she got the role despite her lack of acting experience in an interview with Fox News. “When I was very young – like 19 years old… my agent called me and said, ‘They want to see you – they’re replacing Suzanne Somers on Three’s Company,” she said.
© Instagram“I thought, ‘Oh geez, why am I even going to the interview? I’m not going to get a role like that.'”
“When I showed up for the audition…I tripped when I was walking in,” she continued. “I fell over things and grabbed something or whatever. They instantly thought, ‘Oh, here’s our klutzy cousin girl’…How lucky I was.”
© Disney General Entertainment ConThe star added that the atmosphere on set was one of warmth and friendship. “When I got on Three’s Company, I was welcomed with open arms. They treated me lovely. They treated me like a little sister…And the girls [on set], we protected one another, and we supported one another,” she recalled.
© FilmMagicDuring her time on the show, Jenilee became a sex symbol, a role that she struggled to come to terms with. “I looked at being a sex symbol as just a wardrobe I had to put on to go into Hollywood and do this job,” she explained to the outlet.
© Instagram“Your wardrobe is your outside, but it’s not what your core person is, what your soul is…But was I uncomfortable? Absolutely, many times I was uncomfortable.” After her stint on the sitcom, Jenilee went on to join the cast of Dallas as Jamie Ewing Barnes for two seasons. She also appeared in series like Fantasy Island and The Love Boat.
She left Hollywood in the early ’00s after acting in the TV movie The Power to pursue her passion of caring for animals. Jenilee was married to Bruce Oppenheim from 1993 until their split in 2022.
