There was a time when Tiger Woods and his ex-wife Elin Nordegren couldn’t be in the same room, but they showed up reunited on Tuesday night to celebrate their son Charlie’s latest milestone. Following in his dad’s legendary footsteps, Charlie and his teammates from The Benjamin School won the 2025 FHSAA Class 1A state title. They also won in 2023.
In a video posted by ESPN West Palm, the former couple stood together for the championship ring ceremony. The 17-year-old stood in the center between his parents, posing for photos while showing off his medals.
Nordegren looked like a proud mom wearing a “State Champs” sweatshirt and leggings, while Tiger rocked a navy blazer and matching pants. They happily posed for photos while Charlie wore his medals around his neck.
Charlie accepted his award, wearing a state championship shirt with his black frames and long hair flowing.

The young prodigy played on the Benjamin Bucs’ No. 1 line last season, delivering a team-best final round to secure the state title. Rather than following his dad’s career at Stanford, Charlie announced he’s heading to Florida State University, as part of the class of 2027, which includes AJGA No. 1 Miles Russell.
Tiger celebrated his son on social media, commenting on Instagram, “Congratulations, Charlie. I’m so proud of you for entering this next chapter of your life.”
Remembering the cheating scandal
The sight of Tiger and Elin together still carries weight. The two divorced in 2010 after a highly publicized cheating scandal that unraveled Tiger’s once-perfect image and became one of the most dramatic personal downfalls in sports history.
Elin discovered the infidelity during Thanksgiving week in 2009, with Rachel Uchitel later identified among several women who came forward.
She famously used a golf club to smash the windows of the Tigers’ SUV, and he drove over a fire hydrant and into a tree. After the divorce, she walked away with a $100 million settlement.
Where things stand now
Nearly two decades later, they have a strong co-parenting dynamic, putting their kids first. They are also the parents of a daughter named Sam, who is 18.
In 2014, she told PEOPLE they repaired their relationship for their children. “In the beginning, you tamp down the animosity for the kids’ sake,” she explained. “But I don’t think I doubted we’d end up here. That was always my dream, that the kids could have two loving parents who show respect for each other. And I feel that’s what they have.”
Tiger echoed those statements in 2015, telling TIME, “She’s one of my best friends. We’re able to pick up the phone, and we talk to each other all the time. We both know that the most important things in our lives are our kids. I wish I had known that back then.” “We’ve worked so hard at co-parenting to make sure that their lives are fantastic.
Tiger’s is believed to be dating Vanessa Trump, whose eldest daughter, Kai, also attends The Benjamin School and is a promising golfer. The pair were recently spotted together at the Genesis Invitational, an event hosted by the Tiger Woods Foundation.
AS for Nordegren, she later found love with former NFL tight end Jordan Cameron. They kept their relationship under wraps for a few years before making it public, and they welcomed three kids together, Arthur, Zeta, and Freya. They are notoriously private and are rarely spotted together.
