This may finally be the year that Timothée Chalamet brings home an Academy Award. The 30-year-old actor is nominated for his third Oscar at the 98th Academy Awards for his role in Marty Supreme.
Heading into awards season, Timothée was a front runner, winning Best Actor at the Critics Choice Awards and a Golden Globe. But after a clip of the actor dismissing ballet and opera went viral, his chances have gone down a bit.
In a conversation with Matthew McConaughey, Timothée said: “I don’t want to be working in ballet or opera, or you know, things where it’s like, ‘Hey, keep this thing alive,’ even though it’s like, no one cares about this anymore,” before adding: “All respect to the ballet and opera people out there.”
Regardless, Timothée is headed to the Oscars and hoping to take home the big prize. And every time he’s attended the award show, he’s shown up in style. Before the 98th Academy Awards, let’s take a trip down memory lane at the actor’s looks to Oscars events in years past.

Seven years after he was nominated for his first Oscar, Timothée received his second nomination for his role in the Bob Dylan biopic, A Complete Unknown. While he didn’t win that night, he won the red carpet. Timothée wore a butter-yellow custom Givenchy suit paired with black shoes.
