Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are in their best moment. The couple confirmed their relationship in the fall of 2023, and has remained strong through the past year, supporting each other in their prolific and notorious careers. In a new episode of his podcast, Kelce shared his opinion on weddings, and why the perfect wedding date is very important to him and his career.
Kelce and his brother Jason discussed the topic in the new episode of “New Heights” while answering a question from a caller. The caller shared that he and his girlfriend had a fight due to their proposed wedding date, which would fall on a day when he wanted to go to a football game.
“I actually don’t know people who’ve gotten married in the fall, because all the weddings I’ve been to and all my friends always do it in the summer,” said Kelce. “I’ve seen weddings in f*cking February. I’ve seen weddings everywhere but the fall. So, I’m not sure if the fall is a good wedding season.”
Kelce’s opinion is heavily informed by football, which kicks off in the fall season, with the Super Bowl historically hosted in January and more recently on the second Sunday of February. The occasion represents the conclusion of the football season and the end of the players’ hard work.
“Don’t make my friends have to not go,” advised Kelce. “Everybody’s got season tickets. Alright? Don’t make my friends have to choose whether or not they have to sell their tickets that week.”
Jason had a different opinion than his brother, reminding the caller that there are more important things in life than football. “So I would just do the wedding whenever she wants to because that’s kinda your job now,” he said.
Are Kelce and Swift getting married soon?
While Kelce and Swift have remained private about their relationship, some experts believe that an engagement is imminent.
Earlier this week, Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager shared their celebrity engagement predictions and called Swift and Kelce their next one. “It’s happening,” said Kobt.
The two prided themselves in the fact that they had predicted two notorious celebrity engagements that took place over the past couple of weeks: Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco, and Zendaya and Tom Holland.
“It’s time,” said both women.
