The Grammys celebrate the best in the music industry

The news was shared by the Grammys’ executive producer, Ben Winston. “I am beyond thrilled to welcome Trevor Noah back to host the Grammys for his sixth, and sadly, final time,” he said earlier this week to The Hollywood Reporter.

“He’s been the most phenomenal host of the show. He’s so smart, so funny, and such a true fan of the artists and music. His impact on the show has been truly spectacular, and we can’t wait to do it together one last time.”

The 68th Grammy Awards will be hosted at the Crypto.com Arena on Feb. 1, starting at 5 pm PT on CBS and Paramount+. This also marks the last instance where the show will air on CBS, with it moving to Disney+ next year.

Noah has done a great job with the Grammys over the years

Trevor Noah has a long and successful history with the Grammys, with his tenure as host known for his smart banter and ability to keep the evening focused on what viewers want the most: performances. His first time hosting was on 2021, taking over Alicia Keys, who’d hosted the show in 2019 and 2020. His first show was a success, with Noah and the Grammys delivering a tight production that was forced to adapt following the COVID-19 pandemic and the enhanced safety precautions.

Last year, he hosted a more somber Grammys ceremony in the wake of the devastating Palisades and Eaton wildfires in Los Angeles.

“I always care what happens. I don’t take anything for granted, and I’m never sure that or how a joke will land,” he said in an interview with PEOPLE. “You just prepare. You hope for the best. Telling a joke is like jumping out of an airplane with a parachute. You have an idea of where you would like to land, but when you actually get close to the ground, you might be a little bit off from where you intended to be. So I just work my ass off, try to think of the funniest things to say and ways to say them. The rest I leave to God.”
