Ts Madison Says She Doesn’t Think NeNe Leakes Believes She’s A Man Despite Previous Comments

6:43 PM PT — Ts Madison is walking back comments she made in our interview with her … telling us she doesn’t really think NeNe Leakes thinks she’s a man

The star tells us … the convo the two had was nuanced and layered —adding she’s glad it sparked a dialogue because that was the point.

She goes on, “There are real gaps in how we, as a culture, understand the difference between sex, gender, sexual orientation, and identity. And the truth is, a lot of people — including cisgender women — are still learning. That doesn’t mean they’re hateful, it means they’re growing.”

Madison says she’s doesn’t want to create a world where cancel culture runs rampant and people get torn down for an honest effort to learn or where Ts Madison herself “can’t exist in my truth without it being misunderstood.”

Ts adds NeNe asked questions and she gave answers … which is what growth looks like.

She ends her statement, “I stand ten toes down in who I am, and I’m not offended by someone trying to understand me better. This moment isn’t about division. It’s about dialogue — and if you really listened to what I said, you’d hear that too.”

Worth noting … her statement does not address why she said in our interview that she believes NeNe Leakes sees her as a man.

Ts Madison says she doesn’t know if NeNe Leakes is transphobic … but, she definitely thinks NeNe sees her as a guy.

We caught up with the star at the Sheraton Gateway Los Angeles Hotel last week … and, we had to ask her about her interview on “The NeNe Leakes Show” earlier this month.

If you haven’t seen it, NeNe asks Ts if she dates men who aren’t gay … basically implying that a man must be gay to be romantically involved with her because she’s a trans woman.

Madison repeatedly said it doesn’t mean a man is gay … since she’s a woman, just like Leakes — but NeNe seems to have a hard time wrapping her mind around that.

Ts Madison tells us she thinks NeNe’s mindset is rooted in generational misunderstanding … adding she thinks 90% of women think just like she does.

She adds she feels many Black women feel the same way as Leakes … who she said was respectful enough on the surface — using her correct pronouns. She makes it clear there’s no beef between the two of them.

BTW … Ts Madison says Leakes had better get used to the concept of men sleeping with trans women — ’cause they’re not always honest about their sexual history.
