Venus Williams is giving fans an intimate glimpse into one of the most meaningful chapters of her life, and the photos are as timeless as her legacy. The tennis icon, now 45, surprised followers by unveiling never-before-seen engagement photos with her husband, Andrea Preti, offering a rare look at their love story in full bloom.
Posted on Instagram on April 4, the elegant carousel captures the couple in dreamy coastal settings, posing effortlessly on a sunlit beach and near a picturesque villa. The images feel cinematic yet deeply personal, marking the first time Venus has shared these moments publicly.
A Love Story Rooted in Celebration
Venus gave insight into how she and Preti approach love and marriage. In her caption, she revealed that celebration has become a core part of their relationship.
She explained that even after tying the knot, they continue to honor their union regularly. “We celebrated our wedding all year long last year and even though we are married now we never stopped celebrating, it’s kind of a non negotiable for us,” she wrote.
Venus added that she “loved being a bride,” and according to Preti, she still gets to embody that role every day. “Andrea says I still get to be the bride everyday. My mom says I need to stop! 😅 anyway these are our engagement photos, taken on the same day today last year, our first time ever sharing them,” she continued.
Just one day later, on April 5, Venus continued the storytelling with another post, this time focusing on their engagement dinner. The images from April 4, 2025, showcase a festive and intimate gathering, emphasizing close connections and meaningful celebration.
Two Weddings, One Powerful Love Story
Venus and Preti held two separate wedding ceremonies in 2025. Their first ceremony took place in Italy in September, fulfilling a shared dream of celebrating in a country known for its beauty and romance. However, due to legal complexities involving international paperwork, they made a strategic decision to host a second ceremony in Florida in December.
This second celebration was especially meaningful for Venus, honoring her roots and connection to the state where she built much of her life and career.
Venus revealed that the celebration stretched across five days, turning the occasion into a full-scale experience rather than a single event. One standout highlight came courtesy of her sister, Serena Williams. Serena gifted the couple a luxurious yacht experience, curating everything from food to ambiance.
Venus described the gathering as deeply personal, with only a small circle of 10 to 12 close family members and friends in attendance.
