There’s nothing like proud parents! Cruz Beckham is establishing himself as a rising talent in the music scene, and when he played in London on Friday evening, his famous family were out to support him.
Among the guests who headed to Hackney’s Courtyard Theatre were Spice Girl Geri Halliwell-Horner and her daughter, Bluebell, mum Victoria Beckham, dad David Beckham, siblings Romeo Beckham and Harper Beckham plus David’s sister Joanne, Victoria’s sister Louise Adams and the family’s cousins.
An onlooker told HELLO! that Harper and Romeo were in “good spirits” ahead of the gig, and that Harper even hugged her auntie when they crossed paths. Although there was a VIP section, the onlooker noted that both Romeo and Harper opted to join the crowd for the party.
Although Romeo decided to dance along on his own, Harper was joined by a group of friends, and the pair eventually met up to dance to Cruz’s music, which included a song dedicated to the musician’s little sister. When Harper and Romeo left, the pair were holding hands.
Victoria and David stayed in the VIP section, but they were seen dancing together with Geri. At one point Cruz played All You Need is Love and the two Spice Girls put their arms around each other, dancing and hugging with huge smiles on their faces. There was no mistaking how proud Victoria and David were, as they beamed at their son, and filmed him on his mobile phone.
With the family’s cousins around, they described the atmosphere in the theatre as “big happy family vibes”.
However, there was one member of the family who was absent, as Cruz’s eldest brother, Brooklyn Beckham, and his wife, Nicola Peltz, who live in the US these days, were not present at the gig. Brooklyn has been estranged from his family over recent months, setting out his reasons in a bombshell statement back in January.
Cruz’s recent gigs
David and Victoria both supported Cruz earlier in the week, when the singer got emotional. The 21-year-old appeared to reference his family’s ongoing feud as he sang about the “loneliest boy” who was “breaking mama’s heart”.
The lyrics include “loneliest boy, mama don’t talk too much, it’s breaking her heart”. Elsewhere, the song featured the words: “It shows in the small things that you don’t do, I guess in the end that it’s you, yourself, and you. Tell me how do you live, when you’ve got nobody to lose?”
The chorus also features the lyrics: “So tell me you’re scared, and that you need someone to hold. Cause you’re in the room but really, does it even show? But, why can’t they see that you’re a million miles away, They’ll never know, when you look so close.”
Cruz appeared to be emotional as came to the end of the song on Tuesday’s gig, and he was seen wiping his face with his sleeve while being supported by a member of his band, The Breakers.
