What was supposed to be a fairytale Palm Beach wedding ended in an awkward behind-the-scenes moment, as reported by People. According to a source close to the Peltz family, Nicola was left in tears after what she perceived as a calculated move by her new mother-in-law, Victoria Beckham, during the couple’s first dance at their 2022 wedding.
Brooklyn and Nicola were ready for their first dance as a married couple when Victoria was unexpectedly called up to the stage by Marc Anthony, who was performing live as a gift to the couple, as he is a longtime friend of the Beckham family.
“Before the song began, Marc Anthony asked Brooklyn to come to the stage, and then announced, ‘The most beautiful woman in the room tonight, come on up…Victoria Beckham!’” said the source. “Nicola was stunned. She couldn’t believe what was happening.”
