Britney Spears has broken her silence three weeks after she was arrested for a DUI in California the night of March 4. The hitmaker took to Instagram to share a video of herself at home with her son, Jayden.
The star playfully danced beside her son as he filmed them in a full-length mirror. Jayden sported a tailored trench coat layered over a white T-shirt and black trousers, while his mother opted for a gray blazer paired with sleek, low-rise black pants.
“I’m composure. I’m being very composed,” said Britney in the video. “Thank you guys for all your support… spending time with family and friends is such a blessing !!!” she then wrote on Instagram. “Stay kind !!!”
However, after the post, Britney seemingly took a decisive step back from the spotlight by setting her Instagram account to private.
Britney’s arrest
Following the news of Britney’s arrest, a representative for the singer responded to HELLO!’s request for comment with: “This was an unfortunate incident that is completely inexcusable.”
“Britney is going to take the right steps and comply with the law and hopefully this can be the first step in long overdue change that needs to occur in Britney’s life. Hopefully, she can get the help and support she needs during this difficult time. Her boys are going to be spending time with her. Her loved ones are going to come up with an overdue needed plan to set her up for success for well being.”

A follow-up court date has been set for May 4 at the Ventura County Superior Court.
Britney’s sons
Britney welcomes sons, Sean Preston and Jayden James, with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline. Jayden James was born in Los Angeles on September 12, 2006, two months before his parents filed for divorce.
The singer’s sons have resided with their father in Hawaii after she “consented” to the move in May 2023, but they now have contact with their mom.
