Grace Beverley has shared the surprise announcement that she is pregnant with her first child. The wellness influencer and businesswoman, who founded fitnesswear brand TALA, heartbreakingly suffered a miscarriage late last year just months after getting married.
In a post on Instagram, Grace, 29, showed off her baby bump in a black and white photo as she embraced her husband, fashion photographer Amar Daved. It accompanied a video showing them looking at pregnancy tests at home and having hospital scans.
The social media star captioned the post: “We can’t wait to meet you little one.” It has been ‘liked’ more than 239,000 times, with many followers rushing to leave their well-wishes.
That included Jamie Laing who left a ‘love heart’ emoji, while Georgia Toffolo commented “I’m so very happy for you both”. Meanwhile, Lucy Watson shared “so exciting!! Congratulations” and Roxie Nafousi added “awwww sooo happy for you both.”
In a follow-up post, Grace revealed the gender of their baby in a sweet clip. The couple, who met on the dating app Raya and married in the south of France last summer, opened a box to discover that they were expecting a little girl.
Molly-Mae Hague commented “GIRL MOMMY!!!!” on the post, which has received over 70,000 ‘likes’. Additionally, Saira Khan shared “what a beautiful beautiful post – so happy for you mama and dada to be”.
It comes after Grace revealed in November that she had sadly suffered a miscarriage the previous month. In a carousel shared to Instagram, she lay in a hospital bed while holding her partner’s hand.
Grace wrote: “TW: Pregnancy loss. Last month was incredible in some ways, and too tough for words in others. Having to push through a loss like this to get the store open was so, so hard.
“It didn’t feel right or possible to talk about it at the time, but there should be nothing taboo about this. Getting to spend only a few months with our little baby feels so unfair. We were so excited to meet you little one. You were so loved. Till we meet again.”
The entrepreneur, who also runs the successful podcast ‘Working Hard with Grace Beverley’ rose to prominence on Instagram for her fitness content under the former moniker ‘GraceFitUK’. She has since moved into the broader wellness space, and wrote the best-selling book Working Hard, Hardly Working in 2021.
