This summer, Telemundo is cranking up the heat, the glam, and the drama with its spicy new reality competition series: Miss Universe Latina. Starting June 3, this daily televised spectacle is poised to rewrite the rules of pageantry and deliver some serious fireworks along the way.

Thirty fierce, fabulous Latinas living in the U.S. will compete for the ultimate honor: representing their heritage and community on the Miss Universe stage.

A Showdown of Style, Smarts, and Sisterhood

Forget everything you think you know about pageants. Miss Universe Latina is not about walking in heels and answering questions about world peace. This is a full-blown competition with all the intensity of a reality survival show, minus the bugs, plus a beauty blender.

The women are split into two teams and moved into a mansion. Each team is led by Latina royalty: Alicia Machado, Miss Universe 1996, and Team Esmeralda’s fiery leader, and Zuleyka Rivera, Miss Universe 2006 and queen of Team Rubí.

These aren’t just mentors. They’re captains, coaches, and confidantes who’ve been through the crown wars themselves.

The show’s host is the charismatic Jacqueline Bracamontes, who brings warmth, humor, and wisdom to the high-stakes competition.

Real Challenges. Real Talk. Real Latinas

From day one, it’s clear this isn’t about surface-level beauty. Contestants are pushed to their limits in challenges that test public speaking, emotional intelligence, stage presence, confidence, and their ability to survive under a microscope.

Viewers will have front-row seats to personal growth, cultural pride, and high-voltage rivalry as contestants battle it out under the bright lights of Telemundo’s cameras.

Did we mention it airs live Monday through Friday and Sundays? That’s six chances a week to witness runway slays, tearful breakthroughs, and the kind of motivational quotes your group chat will be quoting for months.

What makes Miss Universe Latina stand out isn’t just the high production value or fierce competition. At a time when representation matters more than ever, this show is spotlighting the rich cultural tapestry of U.S. Latinas. The contestants hail from every corner of Latin America—Mexico, Venezuela, Colombia, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Peru, and more—but they call the U.S. home.

“This is more than a crown—it’s a responsibility,” Bracamontes said in an interview on Hoy Día. And that responsibility is to show the world what it truly means to be a modern Latina in America.

What It Takes to Win

While the full panel of judges is still under wraps, the criteria for winning are crystal clear: authenticity, charisma, and brains are non-negotiable.

“They’re looking for a complete woman,” says Bracamontes. “Someone who commands the spotlight, owns her story, and radiates from the inside out.”

When to Watch (And When to Cancel Plans)

Circle it in red Sharpie: Monday, June 3. That’s when Miss Universe Latina makes its debut on Telemundo. Episodes will air live every Monday through Friday and Sunday, making it your new week-long viewing ritual.

Whether you’re team Esmeralda or team Rubí, this show is serving heart, sparkle, and non-stop twists.

So clear your schedule, stock up on tissues and popcorn, and get ready to cheer, cry, and gasp your way through the summer’s most empowering (and wildly entertaining) reality competition.
