Zendaya and Robert Pattinson are teaming up for one of the most exciting movies of the year. The pair are starring in “The Drama,” the latest A24 project, which appears to take a new jab at the romantic comedy. The film has just released a new trailer.
The film follows an engaged couple who face a revelation that changes everything for them. The official logline reads: “A happily engaged couple is put to the test when an unexpected turn sends their wedding week off the rails.”
The film follows Emma (Zendaya) and Charlie (Pattinson), a couple that’s preparing for their wedding day by participating in all of the required events for this sort of ceremony, including attending dance lessons, writing speeches, and discussing their relationship with their closest friends. In one of these conversations, the pair is asked to reveal “the worst thing” they’ve ever done, with the revelation changing their dynamic.
The film is directed and written by Krisfoffer Borgli, a Norwegian filmmaker who previously directed “Dream Scenario,” starring Nicolas Cage. You can check out the full trailer below:
Pattinson and Zendaya big 2026
Robert Pattinson and Zendaya are two of the biggest stars of the Millennial and Gen-Z generations, being involved with some of the biggest recent franchises in Hollywood. This year, the two are releasing three films together.
“It’s so nice. She’s great. I really, really like her. And yeah, she’s incredible in ‘The Drama’ as well and in all of them,” said Pattinson of Zendaya in an interview with GQ. “The Drama” is their first film to be released this year, and their most significant mutual collaboration, with them sharing plenty of scenes together. The film is scheduled to come out this April, in theaters.
© A24 / YouTubeThe pair is also featured in two major films, including “The Odyssey.” “Well, I haven’t seen what she did in The Odyssey,” said Pattinson. “I just saw her pictures, and we saw each other in passing.” The film is scheduled for release on July 17.
The two are also featured in “Dune: Part Three,” with Zendaya playing the role of Chani for the entire trilogy and Pattinson coming in in an undisclosed role. “Being out in the desert shooting Dune, it’s weird. I remember shooting a scene with Zendaya, the first scene we shot together out in the desert, I’m like, ‘Oh! We’re, like, in Dune!’ And she’s like, ‘Yeah… we’re doing a Dune movie.’ But it really was like, ‘It really feels like you’re in a Dune movie.’ It was really, really fun,” he said. The film is coming out on December 18.
