Zendaya and Tom Holland may have taken their famously private romance to the next level. According to Zendaya’s longtime stylist and image architect, Law Roach, the wedding has already happened. While speaking to Access Hollywood on the red carpet at the 2026 Actor Awards on Sunday, March 1, Roach dropped a statement that instantly set social media timelines on fire.
“The wedding has already happened,” he teased, before adding with a laugh, “You missed it.” When pressed on whether he was serious, Roach doubled down. “It’s very true!” Representatives for both Zendaya and Holland have not yet publicly confirmed the claim.
Engagement Rumors Began at the 2025 Golden Globes
Speculation about a possible engagement began during the 2025 Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 5. Zendaya, 29, was photographed wearing a diamond ring on the ring finger of her left hand, immediately sparking engagement headlines.
The following day, TMZ reported that the couple was indeed engaged, citing sources close to them. That same day, an insider told PEOPLE that Holland, also 29, had been thinking about proposing for quite some time.
According to the source, the “Crowded Room” actor had been “wanting to propose for a while now” and “always knew she was the one.” The insider added that the pair share something “very special,” reinforcing what fans have long suspected about their bond.
Tom Holland Subtly Confirmed the Engagement
By September 2025, Holland appeared to confirm the engagement himself. During a panel event, a reporter mentioned that his daughter had met Holland’s “girlfriend.” Holland quickly and sweetly corrected him. “Fiancée,” he said with a laugh.
The clip circulated widely on X and was seen as the clearest public acknowledgment of their status change at the time. Even so, the couple remained consistent in keeping details about their relationship largely private.
From ‘Spider-Man’ Costars to Real-Life Romance
Zendaya and Holland first sparked dating rumors in 2016 when they were cast alongside each other in “Spider-Man: Homecoming.” At the time, both actors insisted their relationship was strictly platonic.
In July 2017, however, a source told PEOPLE that the pair had started seeing each other during filming. The insider noted that they were extremely careful to keep things under wraps, often spending time together privately and even vacationing together.
Another source shared that their connection was built on ambition and humor. They challenge each other creatively, but they also make each other laugh constantly. That shared sense of humor became a defining feature of their dynamic.
The romance was officially confirmed in 2021 when Zendaya and Holland were photographed kissing in a car in Los Angeles. After years of speculation, the images marked a turning point in the public’s perception of their relationship.
Navigating Fame and Privacy
Both actors have been candid about the pressures of maintaining a relationship under intense public scrutiny. In a 2021 interview with GQ, Holland reflected on the loss of privacy that accompanies global fame. He explained that intimate moments can quickly become public property, whether you intend them to or not.
Zendaya echoed that sentiment in the same piece. She emphasized that when you deeply care about someone, you want certain experiences to remain between just the two of you. For her, love is something sacred and personal, not something meant for constant public consumption.
That shared philosophy may explain why, if Roach’s comments are accurate, the couple could have chosen to marry in secret.
