Zendaya and Tom Holland may not have been at the Actor Awards, but they dominated the headlines after her longtime stylist, Law Roach, told reporters they secretly got married. While the couple is staying quiet, her mom, Claire Stoermer, responded, but it’s hard to tell what she meant by it.
This week, Stoermer reposted the clip by Entertainment Tonight, claiming they are already married. “The wedding has already happened,” he said, before teasing, “You missed it.”
When the reporter mentioned chatter that Zendaya had been spotted wearing a gold wedding band, Roach doubled down, “The wedding is over, sorry,” followed by a laugh.
Stoermer reposted the clip to her Instagram Stories the next day with the caption: “The laugh…” plus a laughing emoji.
Since it’s hard to decipher text, it’s hard to tell if it was a confirmation or if they’re both in on the trolling.
It really wouldn’t be surprising if they did get married secretly. It would be incredibly impressive if they were able to keep it out of the public’s sight this long, though.
Roach had previously opened up about their wedding, saying she would be a “secret bride” in May, telling Complex, “They’re trying to be as private as possible. There won’t be a Vogue spread, or there won’t be pictures of the wedding, and the people who she will invite will be really respectful of their privacy, so it will be a really beautiful dress that no one gets to see.”
The couple first confirmed their engagement in January 2025, when Zendaya showed up to the Golden Globes with a diamond on that special finger. TMZ confirmed their engagement the next day, citing sources close to the couple. An insider later shared that Holland had “been wanting to propose for a while” and that he’s “always known she was the one.”
By September 2025, Holland himself corrected a reporter who referred to Zendaya as his “girlfriend” during a panel. “Fiancée,” he said, smiling.
The couple, who first sparked romance rumors in 2017 after being cast as Peter Parker and MJ in Spider-Man: Homecoming, have spent years mastering the art of privacy.
It’s something Holland has always stood for. He told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023 that he wants to keep their relationship as “sacred” as possible. “We don’t think that we owe it to anyone,” he said, “It’s our thing, and it has nothing to do with our careers.”
Zendaya appreciates it too. In 2023, she told Elle, “Parts of my life, I accept, are going to be public,” adding, “I can’t be a person and live my life and love the person I love. But also, I do have control over what I choose to share.”
