Zoe Saldaña opted for lace on Oscar night. The Oscar winner was one of the evening’s presenters and showcased two different but complementary looks for the awards show and one of the Oscars’ after-parties.
Saldaña returned to the Los Angeles Dolby Theater for the Oscars in a Saint Laurent gown that was lingerie-inspired, showcasing some intricate details in the top half.
The black gown had a form-fitting lacy top and a looser skirt, which was perfectly tailored to her height. She completed the look with her hair styled in an elegant bun and key elegant jewelry in the form of rings, an eye-catching necklace with purple jewels, and some diamond earrings.
For the after-party, Saldaña continued her Saint Laurent trend, opting for a long-sleeved lace dress in blue. The design was sexier and perfect for an after-party, with it landing just above her knees. She complemented the look with a square neck and beige heels.
Zoe Saldaña’s 2025 Oscar night
Last year, Zoe Saldaña won her first Oscar, becoming the first woman of Dominican descent to take home the Oscar for best supporting actress. The moment was one of the biggest highlights of her career, rewarding her work for “Emilia Perez.”
“My grandmother came to this country in 1961. I am a proud daughter of immigrant parents,” she said at the time. “With dreams, dignity and hardworking hands, I am the first American of Dominican descent to receive an Academy Award, and I know I will not be the last.”
Saldaña was one of the presenters last night and was also a part of some of the projects that were nominated, starring in “Avatar: Fire and Ash,” a project that she’s invested in over the past decade. Her roles in “Avatar” and the Marvel Cinematic Universe made her the highest-grossing actor of all time.
“I just want to express my sincerest gratitude for the extraordinary journey that has led me to become the highest-grossing film actor of all time today,” she said in a statement. “An achievement made possible entirely, entirely by the incredible franchises and the collaborators that I have been fortunate enough to be a part of, to every director who placed their trust in me.”
