Paulina Porizkova is embracing her body exactly as it is. The 61-year-old supermodel has shared a powerful message about weight gain, aging and confidence after receiving unsolicited advice from followers suggesting she could lose weight if she tried harder.
Paulina addressed the comments in a candid Instagram post shared on Thursday, June 18, 2026, explaining that while much of the response to her previous post had been supportive, some people had also offered fitness plans, diet advice and paid programmes designed to help her change her body.
“And yes, thank you. I know I can get rid of the weight,” she wrote, before making clear that this was not the point.
The former model explained that she could eat less, exercise more or pursue cosmetic procedures, but said she is no longer interested in dedicating huge amounts of time, energy or money to fighting the natural changes that come with age.
“My point was and IS: to resist to age takes an awful lot of time and money,” she continued. “And at this point in my life I’m more comfortable in this body than I’ve ever been.”
© WireImagePaulina shared the message alongside a confident video of herself in a red lingerie set, featuring a plunging bra and high-waisted underwear. But the post was less about showcasing her figure than reflecting on the dramatic shift in how she sees herself.
In the voiceover, Paulina compared her present-day self with the younger woman who rose to fame as one of the fashion industry’s most recognisable faces.
© InstagramDespite her supermodel status, she revealed that she had taken her body for granted and still found plenty to criticise. She recalled feeling that her thighs were too thick and her breasts were not large enough, despite the success and admiration surrounding her at the time. Now, she says, her relationship with her body is far more appreciative.
“This one works hard for her body,” she said, describing the way she now exercises with heavy weights several times a week, adds Pilates and cardio, and focuses on eating food that supports her wellbeing. She also made clear that the routine is not about chasing perfection.

“This woman really appreciates her body and all of the years that it has held up and carried her brain,” she added.
Paulina is entering a new phase in her life with fiance Jeff Greenstein. She was previously married to Ric Ocasek, lead singer of the rock band the Cars, for 28 years, with the pair separating in 2018.
