Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was targeted by a group of protesters at his new Norfolk home on Thursday, marking a significant security breach just weeks after his move to the Sandringham estate.

In new pictures, a group of protestors were seen climbing his fence. Earlier in the day, the former Prince had been seen driving his Range Rover alone into Marsh Farm on the King’s Sandringham estate and was believed to be inside the farmhouse when four individuals arrived by car and began shouting abuse.

Andrew, 66, is currently staying at nearby Wood Farm while renovations are carried out on his new home, though he has made several visits to the property this week to monitor progress.

It’s believed the protestors climbed the fence in front of the house and shouted abuse at Andrew, but his security were quick to defuse the situation and the protestors then jumped back in their car and drove off.

Last month, moving men were seen transporting Andrew’s possessions, including paintings and books, to his new abode. The boxes revealed that Andrew was continuing to use his HRH title, despite these having been stripped from him back in November.

Andrew’s imminent move

During a recent episode of A Right Royal Podcast, The Sun’s royal editor, Matt Wilkinson, explained why Andrew’s move to Marsh Farm was expected to happen around the Easter break.

Matt shared: “He’s living in Wood Farm at the moment, which is temporary accommodation, and the royal family use Wood Farm a lot, and the Easter holidays are coming up, so there may be wider and extended members of the family who want to pop up for a holiday at Sandringham and use Wood Farm, so Andrew needs to get into Marsh Farm pretty sharpish.

“They’ve put the big security gates up, they’ve been working around the clock for the last few weeks, the furniture has gone in, we’ve had a fridge, a big wardrobe, we’ve had carpets go in. The kitchen has been completely done.”

He added: “We were told to expect Andrew to be into his final exile by Easter, the first weekend in April. But I have a sneaking suspicion he could be in before that, because they want Wood Farm back.”

Next chapter

Andrew was required to leave Royal Lodge after King Charles stripped him of his royal titles and honours last year. He has since been staying at Wood Farm while renovations are carried out on his new home.

His association with Jeffrey Epstein ultimately led to the loss of both his titles and official residence, and he has now relocated to the Sandringham Estate.

While his new life is expected to be far more private and removed from the media spotlight, he still has access to extensive grounds and stables, allowing him to continue his long-standing passion for horse riding.
