Chip Gaines is still making Valentine’s Day special nearly 25 years into his marriage to Joanna Gaines.
The couple have been married since 2003, and they share five children: Drake, 20, who is in his second year of college, followed by Ella Rose, 18, Duke, 17, Emmie Kay, 16, and Crew, seven.
And as the two celebrated their umpteenth Valentine’s Day together, the doting dad shared a glimpse into how he still makes it special.
Taking to Instagram, Chip, 51, shared a photo of the flowers he got for Joanna, which she later reposted to her own Stories, a large arrangement of peach and baby pink hued roses on a big white vase.
The photo also gave a glimpse inside the Magnolia founders’ stunning home — they reside in Waco, Texas but also recently purchased a second home in Colorado, which they renovated for a new TV show — cozily adorned with plants as well as wood and leather accents.
“Happy Valentine’s Day baby girl!!!” Chip wrote in his caption, adding: “A million roses would still not be enough.”
Fans were quick to take to the comments section under the post and gush over it, with one writing: “I love your love,” as others followed suit with: “So sweet. They are beautiful!” and: “Beautiful! Love the color!” as well as: “Relationship goals!”
Though Joanna and Chip have long been based in Waco and have their Magnolia headquarters in the area, late last year they purchased a Colorado fixer-upper, a 1960s mountain home.
They renovated the home, which was documented for their new series, Fixer Upper: Colorado Mountain House.
In an Instagram post in honor of the series’ release last December, Joanna reflected: “Over the last decade, Colorado has become a home away from home for our family. Between yearly ski trips and spring break getaways, we fell in love with the mountains, the rivers, and the abundance of fresh air.”
“As @chipgaines is known to do, he started looking at real estate — casually — until he stumbled upon this house nestled in the Rocky Mountains,” she went on, adding: “From the moment we pulled into the long driveway, it immediately felt like we’d found far more than what we’d been looking for. It had good bones, the right square footage, but mostly, it felt like a home away from home.”
“While we knew that saying ‘yes’ to a major renovation project outside of Texas (our first!) would require being stretched beyond our comfort zone, we had a feeling taking on this fixer upper would be worth it in the end,” Joanna concluded.
