Donny Osmond had much to celebrate on Friday, marking a major milestone with his “sweetheart” wife, Debbie.
The 68-year-old penned a touching tribute to celebrate “48 wonderful years” of marriage, alongside a sweet photo of the couple embracing against a picturesque backdrop.
“When you get right down to it, life goes by fast. It’s hard to believe it’s been 48 years since I made eternal vows to my sweetheart in the Salt Lake City Temple,” Donny wrote on Instagram.
“Together, we’ve built a life full of love, memories, and family—and I’d choose you all over again,” he added. “I love you, sweetheart.”
Donny also added text over the photo alongside a wedding ring graphic, writing: “Celebrating 48 wonderful years with my best friend.”
The veteran performer is no stranger to public declarations of love and penned an equally gushing tribute on the 47th wedding anniversary last year.
“Thank you, Debbie, for saying yes to my proposal 47 years ago and for sharing this incredible and crazy adventure through show business with me,” he captioned the post, alongside a throwback photo of the pair.
“You’ve been more than I could have ever hoped for—my partner, my anchor, my inspiration, and my dear wife.”
© InstagramDonny and Debbie exchanged vows on May 8, 1978, in the Salt Lake Temple in Utah. They first met as children at an airport.
“Her family recognized us from The Andy Williams Show and asked for our autographs. So I met her when she was three and I was five,” he told Fox News Digital. “I’ve literally known her all my life.”
He added that years later, they crossed paths again when she was dating his brother Jay. “I was dating a girl named Tammy, and my brother Jay took Debbie out. We went to an Elton John concert,” he recalled.
© Instagram“When Elton sat down at the piano to sing ‘Your Song’, I looked over at my brother’s date and thought, ‘I think I’m going to marry that girl someday.’ And I did.”
Donny was able to thank Elton in person years later, telling him, “You’re responsible for my marriage.” “He thought that was kind of funny,” Donny quipped.
Donny and Debbie have been deeply in love for decades, with the Mulan star sharing that she had given him “a lifetime of bliss.”

The couple shares sons Don Jr., Jeremy, Brandon, Christopher, and Joshua. They are also the proud grandparents to 16 grandkids.
