Dua Lipa sparked a flurry of compliments after sharing Instagram photographs of herself wearing a daring blue string top during a brief return to London.
The singer, 31, paired the embellished halterneck with low-rise black trousers, letting its intricate design take centre stage. “London, very briefly,” she captioned the post, adding a blue heart emoji.
Her top featured an open netted construction covered with circular embellishments in shades of navy, turquoise, powder blue and lilac. A high neckline contrasted with deeply cut sides, while its curved hem sat just above the waistband of her trousers.
Dua wore her long dark hair straight with a centre parting, finishing the look with warm blusher, defined lashes and a glossy brown-pink lip. A Bulgari gold watch with a green face and a selection of rings added the finishing touches, while her black manicure complemented her trousers. The images included a close-up of the top’s detailing and another shot of Dua posing with her arms folded, showing off her jewellery.
Her sister Rina was among those responding, writing: “Rainbow fish,” followed by a red heart. Model Sarah Lysander added: “Mermaidddd,” while a fan account declared: “OBSESSED,” alongside a string of blue hearts. Dua’s longtime stylist Lorenzo Posocco also left several heart emojis beneath the post.

The colourful outfit reflected an approach to dressing that Dua discussed in her September 2026 Vogue Italia cover interview.
“My style can be quite maximalist, and I’ve always experimented a lot,” she told the magazine.
She explained that her creative partnership with Lorenzo involved both the visual impact of an outfit and the practical demands of performing in it. Their shared understanding helped them create clothes she could move in throughout a show.
Her commitment to a memorable stage look has sometimes involved considerable weight. Speaking to Vogue about her Radical Optimism tour wardrobe in 2025, Dua discussed a studded Chanel bodysuit weighing approximately 15 pounds. “I’ll do anything for the fashion,” she said. “Nothing shines brighter than that Chanel.”

Consistency remained a priority in an April 2026 interview with Byrdie. “Don’t skip your normal routines,” she advised, explaining that travelling should not mean abandoning skincare or going to bed without removing makeup.

Away from her wardrobe, Dua has discussed a varied approach to exercise. Her June 2025 British Vogue profile described a schedule incorporating yoga, reformer Pilates, weight training and dance rehearsals, alongside vocal work.
Food is another longstanding interest. In a 2022 Vogue profile, she shared her extensive lists of favourite restaurants around the world, while Rina revealed that her older sister had taken charge of cooking Christmas dinner, including making Yorkshire puddings from scratch.
More recently, Dua offered a particularly simple answer when asked what helped her feel like a local in Paris at Chanel’s spring 2026 couture show. “Going to a boulangerie and getting a delicious baguette, and having that with butter,” she told Vogue.
