Elizabeth Hurley is sharing some of her hard-won trade secrets. The British actress and model posted a new batch of bikini photos, sharing some tips with her followers when capturing the perfect bikini shot. As we prepare for summer, it’s some much-needed advice.
Hurley shared three photos on her Instagram, showing her wearing a black-and-white striped bikini as she lounges by her pool. The shots were taken from a high angle and show Hurley with her hair loose and some sunglasses on, as she looks at the camera and the sky, soaking in the sun.
She’s stretched out, with her legs lying in front of her, in a flattering position that works well with any body type. In the caption, she explains that her position is intentional and is a sure way of making the most out of your bikini shots.
© @elizabethhurley“Being photographed in a bikini can be scary so here’s my number one tip: LIE DOWN!” she captioned the post. “Even in hideous overhead light, or with nasty hi-def camera phones (these were taken on a phone in direct sunlight) if you s-t-r-e-t-c-h out enough and wear sunglasses you’ll look fine.”
“Thank me later,” she concluded, adding a heart and a winky face emoji.
The post resulted in many encouraging comments from Hurley’s fans, with someone praising her bikini. “Thanks for the tip, Elizabeth, but you look great in every picture and in every pose. I love your beachwear, it’s simply the best,” they wrote.
“And she is in her sixties?? God bless THE Queen!” wrote someone else.

Hurley tends to hand out key bikini advice as summer draws closer. It’s clearly a season she loves and enjoys. In July of last year, she shared more bikini photos and emphasized the importance of proper lighting when taking revealing photos.
“BAN overhead sunlight,” she wrote in her post’s caption. “When shooting bikinis, sunrise or sunset are your best friends.”
She also took a moment to send a shout-out to her clothing brand. “We shot this at 7am… By 8am, I was lounging around in one of my equally flattering Elizabeth Hurley Beach kaftans, feeling glamorous AND shielded from the lethal sun.”
