Eva Longoria surprised fans this week when she shared a rare glimpse of a reunion few saw coming.
The Desperate Housewives actress, 51, took to Instagram Stories on Tuesday to reveal that her former husband, retired NBA star Tony Parker, had paid her a visit while she was filming her culinary travel series, Searching for France.
“Look who came to visit… the one and only TP! @tonyparker09,” Eva wrote alongside a group photo that showed the former couple smiling together among friends.
The unexpected reunion comes 15 years after their highly publicized divorce and offered a striking reminder of how much time has healed old wounds.
In the cosy snapshot, the former spouses appeared completely at ease in each other’s company, prompting surprise from fans who remember the painful circumstances surrounding their split.
Eva and Tony married in a lavish ceremony in Paris in 2007 before announcing their separation in 2010 after three years of marriage.
At the time, their breakup dominated headlines around the world amid reports of infidelity. According to widespread reports, Eva had discovered hundreds of text messages from another woman on Tony’s phone, sparking intense media scrutiny.
The actress later spoke candidly about the emotional toll the breakdown of her marriage had taken.
Appearing on Piers Morgan Tonight, Eva described the experience as “heartbreaking” and became emotional while discussing the end of the relationship.
Despite the pain, she consistently refused to speak negatively about her former husband. “So many people want me to hate him and destroy him, but I don’t want to,” she said at the time. “I want him to be happy. He’s not a bad person.”
The actress added that she firmly believed in “forgiving and forgetting.” Tony later admitted that the divorce had also been one of the most difficult periods of his life.
Speaking to French broadcaster Canal+, the former San Antonio Spurs star described the breakup as “a difficult and painful experience.”
“It’s not easy to leave a relationship because when I get involved in something, I want to do well,” he said.
Both have since gone on to find happiness elsewhere. In 2014, Tony married French journalist Axelle Francine, with whom he shares two sons. Speaking about fatherhood, he previously described the experience as life-changing.
“I’m a new man,” he said. “I never imagined to feel so much love in this facet of my life. I never thought I’d be so happy.”
Meanwhile, Eva found lasting love with Mexican media executive José Bastón. The couple married in a romantic ceremony in Mexico in 2016 and welcomed their son, Santiago, two years later.
Over the years, Eva has frequently spoken about how motherhood transformed her life and brought her a new sense of purpose.
Now, more than a decade after one of Hollywood’s most talked-about divorces, the former couple’s latest reunion appears to demonstrate that any lingering bitterness has long since faded.
