Kimberly Williams-Paisley delighted fans by revealing she was among the 1,000 guests invited to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s spectacular wedding at Madison Square Garden.
The Father of the Bride actress, 54, gave followers a behind-the-scenes glimpse of her preparations for the biggest celebrity wedding of the year, sharing an Instagram video of herself modelling her elegant gown before heading to the star-studded ceremony alongside husband Brad Paisley.
Set to Taylor’s romantic anthem “Lover”, the playful clip showed an unrecognizable Kimberly twirling through her hotel suite in a striking off-the-shoulder floral gown by Theia. The fitted silhouette featured intricate lavender blooms across a dark backdrop and a dramatic flared hem, while her softly curled auburn hair completed the glamorous look.
Her younger sister, actress Ashley Williams, made a surprise appearance in the background of the video, joking in the caption: “My invitation might have gotten lost in the mail, no idea why.”
Kimberly and Brad later shared another photo alongside television host Seth Meyers and his wife, Alexi Ashe, before making their way into the lavish ceremony.
The invitation held special significance for the country music couple, who have been married for 23 years. Brad has been friends with Taylor for many years and famously toured with the singer early in her career.
Before celebrating the newlyweds, the couple took a moment to publicly thank Taylor and Travis for their extraordinary generosity.
On the eve of the wedding, Brad and Kimberly posted a heartfelt video expressing their gratitude after the couple donated $26 million to more than 20 charities across the United States, including their Nashville-based non-profit grocery store, The Store.
“On the eve of the wedding of Tay and Trav, this is really an amazing thing to think about, the gift they gave The Store,” Brad said in the video.
“It’s transformative. It will feed so many families, and what a way to start a marriage.”
Kimberly added: “We are so, so grateful for your donation. This is going to go such a long way.
“Food insecurity is at a 10-year high in Nashville and the timing is just so critical. We’re just really, really grateful for your generosity. And congratulations on your upcoming wedding.”
The Store was one of more than 20 organisations to benefit from Taylor and Travis’ charitable giving ahead of their wedding, alongside Feeding America, City Harvest, New York Cares, the Food Bank for New York City, Harvesters in Kansas City, the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank, the Rhode Island Community Food Bank, the ASPCA and Grammy in the Schools.
Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library also received a $2 million donation, with the country music icon sharing her own heartfelt congratulations to the newlyweds.
Kimberly and Brad’s appearance at the wedding comes just months after the actress revealed the surprisingly simple advice that has helped keep their marriage strong for more than two decades.
Speaking earlier this year, Kimberly credited fellow actress Jamie Lee Curtis with sharing the best relationship wisdom she had ever heard.
“I heard Jamie Lee Curtis say recently, the secret is ‘Don’t leave,'” Kimberly said. “I thought that was really, actually brilliant.”
She continued: “Just know there’s going to be ups and downs and don’t give up. That was our secret.”
The actress also admitted that maintaining a successful marriage requires intention, especially while balancing two demanding careers.
“We find time, we have to be deliberate about it,” she explained. “There are times when we’re busier and times when we’re not. Right now I’m busier and he’s about to start a tour this summer, which will make him busy. But when we have the downtime, we really make the most of it.”
Kimberly and Brad, who married in 2003, share two sons, William “Huck”, 19, and Jasper, 17.
Earlier this year, the actress also revealed that Brad surprised her on their 23rd wedding anniversary with a heartfelt handwritten letter.
“He wrote me a letter that was really sweet,” she said. “He hadn’t written me a romantic letter in a long time, and it meant a lot to me.”
