George Clooney celebrated his 65th birthday on May 6, and no doubt ushered in the milestone day with his wife, Amal Clooney, and their twins, Ella and Alexander. The actor has reigned supreme as Hollywood’s ultimate heartthrob since he first hit screens on the NBC show ER.
The star has undergone quite the transformation since the early 90s. George has rocked everything from a mullet and thick eyebrows, to being the ultimate silver fox, and also embracing freshly dyed dark locks for his newer roles. His sartorial agenda typically leans towards sleek, tailored suits when gracing the red carpet, to preppy polo shirts for his off-duty style.
George opened up about turning 65 and how he embraces ageing in an interview with CBS. “It’s aging or death. Those are the two options, right? I’m OK with it,” he explained. “You know, I feel more grounded. Certainly, I’m less angry.”
He continued: “If you’re hanging on to any kind of vanity at 64 years old, you’re chasing your tail, man. It’s going to bite you. I am who I am. I look like what I look like. I’ll be all right.”
Whilst George’s devilishly handsome looks have aged like a fine wine, he does look different from his days in a white coat. In celebration of his birthday, we’re taking a look back at his incredible transformation over the years.
