Harry Styles was forced to pull out of his Tuesday night show in São Paulo, Brazil, amid his battle with a mystery illness. The 32-year-old’s team shared the news that his performance was canceled via social media, and offered concertgoers the option to attend Harry’s Friday night show in the city.

“We deeply regret to share that the Harry Styles show on Tuesday, July 21, 2026 at MorumBIS has been cancelled due to tour illness,” the statement read. “We have worked with the venue to open up as many tickets as possible for Friday’s show, but please note that inventory is extremely limited.” Once the tickets for Friday night sell out, ticket holders will be offered a full refund.

Harry is in the middle of his record-breaking Together, Together tour, which began in Amsterdam in May before moving on to 12 nights at Wembley Stadium, London, breaking Coldplay’s 10-show residency record.

Harry was forced to cancel his Tuesday night show in Brazil

The former One Direction star will head to Mexico City for a six-show run after Brazil, followed by a whopping 30 nights at Madison Square Garden in New York City, where he is set to break his own residency record. Harry will wrap up the tour in Australia in December, and will likely need time to recover from the grueling physical and mental stress that comes from being on the road.

The “American Girls” singer is in incredible shape thanks to his passion for running, which he appeared to pick up in recent years. Harry even competed in several major marathons in 2025, including the Berlin Marathon with a time of 2:59:13, and the Tokyo Marathon with a time of 3:24:07.

HELLO! spoke to Harry’s longtime trainer, Thibo David, who has been working with the Grammy winner for over six years and helps him get into shape for touring.

“Believe it or not, I barely knew who he was at first and even had to Google his face to make sure I could recognize him,” he admitted. “That initial connection led to an exciting and challenging journey of working together to optimise his performance and resilience during pivotal moments in his career.”

He explained that Harry wanted to train to avoid injuries onstage, and to build endurance so that he can maintain high energy throughout the show. “His tours are incredibly demanding, both physically and mentally, with long performances, travel, and limited recovery time,” Thibo shared.

Harry also prioritizes mental health while on tour. “Beyond physical fitness, he places a strong emphasis on mental clarity and stress management, ensuring he’s fully present and capable of delivering his best on stage,” Thibo said. “Hydration, sleep, and balanced nutrition are equally essential in his preparation.”

Working out while on tour can prove challenging due to the lack of equipment and training spaces. However, the pair make do on the road, and sometimes the crew even get in on the fun. “Harry’s sessions included boxing and working out in legendary gyms, like the Chicago Bulls’ facility,” Thibo explained. “We had a lot of fun. One of our traditions was running the stairs of every stadium and arena we visited, turning it into a unique challenge.”

“Sometimes, we even turned these sessions into team events, with the musicians and crew joining in. This approach not only kept Harry in peak physical condition but also fostered camaraderie and morale among the team,” he said.
