Karol G made history last night, and she brought one special friend along for the ride. Among her surprise guests was Mexican-American star Becky G, who took the stage to perform their song “MAMIII.” It was a full circle moment since Karol G’s Coachella debut in 2022, when they performed the track live for the first time. Becky went on to play at the main stage at the festival the following year.
Ahead of her surprise appearance with Karol G, HOLA! met up with Becky G, who partnered with Neutrogena for the festival, for an interview. The Mexican-American singer looked flawless, with her glam perfect, and a smile on her face.
Becky G looks great with or without makeup, but when she’s in full glam on stage, she’s flawless. We asked her the hypothetical question, “if your makeup artist quit right before you went on stage and you had 5 minutes to get ready, what are you putting on your face?” She responded confidently. “I mean, I’m a glam girl through and through. When I go on tour, I do my own hair. I’ve done my own makeup. I do my own wardrobe. You’ll see me stitching stuff at the last minute. Shout out to my abuelita, who taught me how to do that,” she said. “So I’m not stressing, and I’m not sweating, and even if I was, with the amazing Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Invisible Gel that I will be priming my skin with, we’ll make sure that my sweat is sweatproof.”
Becky’s Coachella must-haves
During the interview, we got to see an exclusive look at what she was taking in her Coachella purse. Becky G had her phone, a portable charger, lip touchups, a fan, a shot of Patron, and a selfie light, because “once the sun goes down all your pictures have to be on fleek.” She also had the Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Invisible gel, “I actually primed my makeup with this. It is phenomenal, and SPF is essential in the desert. You have to have it,” she explained.

As for her festival fashion this year, she explained, “Coachella fashion for me is super fun. I love all the trends that come and go, and it’s just a time to have fun with all the looks. But you also have to preach comfort over fashion—you’re walking a lot, dancing a lot, and the weather goes from really hot to randomly really cold. So pack multiple outfits—that would be my advice.”
