Isabelle Fuhrman is back as Esther! Thirteen years after ‘Orphan’ was released, the 24-year-old reprises the role of the iconic child serial killer in ‘Orphan: First Kill.’ See photos of the actress then and now.
Isabelle Fuhrman had her breakout moment in 2009 when she starred as the supposed 9-year-old child psycho Esther in Orphan. The big twist is that Esther is actually 33 years old and posing as a child. Isabelle, who was 12 years old when the movie was released, returns to the role in the 2022 prequel Orphan: First Kill.
Isabelle is now 29 years old. The team behind Orphan: First Kill didn’t use any CGI to de-age her to look like a child. Practical effects, smart lighting, and camera angles were used to help Isabelle’s transformation. She looks exactly the same!
In between the two Orphan movies, Isabelle has appeared in several other films. She had a notable role in The Hunger Games as Clove.
