Peter Phillips’ daughters, Isla and Savannah, appeared to be getting along famously with their future stepsister, Georgina Sperling, on Easter Sunday.
Georgina, 13, made her royal debut at the service held at St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, alongside her mother, Harriet Sperling, who is set to marry Peter this June.
Welcoming the teen into the fold with open arms were her future stepsisters, Isla, 14, and Savannah, 15. The daughters of Peter and his first wife, Autumn Phillips, walked side-by-side with the newest member of their family.
Isla looked strikingly grown up just days after her 14th birthday, smartly clad in a polka-dot dress, navy blazer, and suede loafers. Taking the lead as the trio walked together, eldest daughter Savannah impressed in a structured coat dress with contrasting sleeves and white kitten heels.
Georgina opted for a navy button-down top and brown suede midi skirt for her high-profile debut.
Their coordinating ensembles signalled a shared confidence, suggesting that Savannah and Isla have given Georgina their full seal of approval. It marked a symbolic moment for the royal family as they officially welcomed the Sperlings into the fold, offering the seal of approval to the King’s nephew’s blended family.
Blended family
Georgina, whom NHS nurse Harriet shares with her former husband, Antonio St John Sperling, has remained under the radar until now. HELLO! understands that Georgina was introduced to the wider family, including the Prince and Princess of Wales, at Balmoral last year.
Harriet previously told Christian magazine Woman Alive about the challenges of raising her daughter as a single parent.
“In the earlier years of my journey as a single mother to my daughter, resources were scarce, and the future was uncertain,” she explained. “Yet, in the absence of material security, I discovered the strength and life that comes from true selfless love.
“A love that is able to be solely devoted to your child. My daughter and I journeyed ten years with only each other. I liken us to an island, and it has often felt hard to imagine anyone joining that island.
Peter and Harriet will exchange vows on 6 June 2026 at All Saints Church in Kemble, Cirencester. The couple became engaged last August after a year of dating, having first crossed paths at a sporting event.
HELLO’s Royal Editor, Emily Nash, commented at the time: “This is wonderful news for Peter and Harriet, but also the wider royal family. Peter is close to the King and to his cousins and Harriet seems to have been warmly welcomed into the fold.”
Peter’s commitment to co-parenting
Peter is no stranger to navigating complex family dynamics for the sake of his two daughters. As the first of Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren to marry, he wed Autumn Kelly in 2008; though they divorced in 2021, they remain dedicated co-parents.
A statement released at the time of their split emphasised their focus on family stability: “Both Peter and Autumn will remain in Gloucestershire to bring up their two children where they have been settled for a number of years..
“Autumn and Peter reached the conclusion that this was the best course of action for their two children and ongoing friendship. The decision to divorce and share custody came about after many months of discussions and although sad, is an amicable one.
“The couple’s first priority will remain the continued well being and upbringing of their wonderful daughters Savannah and Isla.”
