Ivanka Trump knows all about the sartorial power of a little black dress, and her latest look elevated the classic silhouette with sultry red accents and a daring cutout detail.
The 44-year-old took to Instagram on April 17 to share a snapshot of her time in Florida. Ivanka shared a photo of herself posing in a black maxi dress featuring a plunging neckline, accented with a choker detail. The sleeveless design was transformed by a silky red inner layer that contrasted beautifully with the velvet black exterior, while a daring thigh-high slit completed the look. The dress was accessorized with pointed-toe black heels and a silver cuff bracelet.
Ivanka’s silky blonde locks were styled into soft waves while her makeup oozed glam, courtesy of a smoky eye and a glossy lip.
The First Daughter’s striking height and model-like physique were among the reasons she was previously signed to Elite Model Management. Ivanka graced the runway for the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Thierry Mugler in the late 1990s. However, she later admitted that modelling was not the career path she wanted to pursue as she stepped into adulthood. “Modeling was not an endgame for me. I didn’t particularly enjoy the act of it,” she shared.
“It’s as ruthless an industry as real estate – the people you meet in that business are just as fricking tough,” she told Marie Claire in 2007.

During an appearance on The Skinny Confidential Him & Her podcast, Ivanka shared that her toned figure is courtesy of weight lifting, a high protein diet, and jiu-jitsu – a Brazilian martial art. “Something that I think has been a massive change for me since I moved to Miami, I started prioritizing exercise,” she said. “‘Initially, that took the form of yoga and Pilates, these things that I had done at various points of my life, but now I had the ability, because I was on my own schedule, to make them more consistent and a more regular part of my life.”
© InstagramShe continued: “Gradually, I started doing more resistance and weight training, and that’s when I saw a massive difference. My whole body changed. But that’s when I really noticed a massive change for me, and my body composition fundamentally changed. I got stronger, I got leaner, and I could kind of get away with it because I’m really tall, so I can look lean even if I wasn’t strong.”
