For Jennifer Lopez, nothing brings more pride than watching her children grow up. On Thursday, May 28, the Bronx-born superstar and her family celebrated a major milestone: the high school graduation of Emme Maribel, one of the twins she shares with Marc Anthony. Lopez attended the ceremony alongside her mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, as well as Samuel, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner’s son, Emme’s twin brother, Max, was also there for the special family gathering. Emme’s father, however, was not in attendance.
For the occasion, which took place at Emme’s school in Los Angeles, Jennifer Lopez wore flowing light-colored pants paired with a striped blazer, a white long-sleeved shirt, a black handbag, and sunglasses.
JLo’s mother chose a neutral-toned outfit, while 14-year-old Samuel Affleck wore light brown pants with a blue shirt. Although Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck’s marriage ended in 2024, the friendship between their children has continued to flourish. Samuel’s presence at Emme’s graduation highlighted the close bond they share and showed that they continue to support one another during important milestones like this one.
Meanwhile, Max was spotted wearing dark pants along with a blazer and a baseball cap.
As for the graduate, Emme wore a light brown suit with a white shirt and a pink Hawaiian-style flower lei. Once the ceremony began, the 18-year-old donned the traditional cap and gown worn by graduates.
JLo’s Kids Are Getting Ready for College
Jennifer Lopez recently told Mark Consuelos on Live with Kelly and Mark that she and her children had already begun touring colleges as they prepare for the next chapter of their education.
“It’s crazy. Today we visited colleges in between the press tour and the premiere, and we’re touring a college,” she said in February 2025. “It’s happening. They’re leaving, they’re leaving, and it’s crazy.”
Lopez also reflected on her own memories of that stage in life, when she was figuring out her future.
“I’m happy because I remember how exciting that time in my life was. I was thinking, ‘I’m deciding what I want to do with my life.’ It’s an exciting adventure, and that’s what I want for them. But at the same time, I’m thinking, ‘I’m going to be all alone!’” she shared.
