Kate Middleton and Prince William might soon be embarking on a trip together. According to reports, Kate Middleton might join her husband in India this November, where the next Earthshot Prize will be hosted. The trip would be significant, marking the couple’s first joint trip abroad in three years.

It’s been rumored that Middleton might join Prince William in India, marking their first joint trip in three years

Kate Middleton is “delighted” about the prospect of traveling to India. “The fact that she’s planning to go to India is such a huge milestone, not only for her, but for the couple together. It will be almost four years since they travelled to Boston together to attend the Earthshot Awards, and even longer since they took on their major royal tour of the Caribbean,” reads The Mirror.

The outlet also claims that the trip would be evidence of the couple’s support of each other’s dreams. “Everything they do is in tandem, and this includes Catherine being the catalyst for William launching the Earthshot Prize, when he doubted it could become the global success it has,” continues the outlet.

In the past, Middleton has accompanied Prince William to different Earthshot Prize events. In recent years, she’s stayed at home with her children and, in 2024, due to her cancer treatment, which kept her away from the media for months.

Last year, she revealed that she was in remission and has been rejoining her royal calendar. Middleton returned to her international duties last May, when she traveled to Italy.

Prince William has been hard at work with the Earthshot Prize for the past six years, designing the initiative as a way to support different innovations and people working to make the world a more sustainable place. Every year, the awards celebrate and honor five winners.

The Prize began in 2020, with the first event hosted in London. The following events were hosted in Boston, Singapore, Cape Town, and last year, Rio de Janeiro.

Prince William revealed that this year’s prize would be hosted in India through Instagram. “This country is a global technology leader; it’s home to 8% of the world’s biodiversity,” he said. “It’s the world’s fastest-growing major climate with the largest population of young people in the world. And it’s home to more Earthshot Prize finalists and winners than any other country on the planet.”

If the Princess of Wales were to join him, this would mark their second visit to India together. 10 years ago, the two visited numerous cities, including Mumbai, Agra, and New Delhi, visiting the Taj Mahal and taking photos in front of it. They then traveled to Bhutan to meet with King Jigme Khesar and Queen Jetsun Pema.
