Kate Middleton takes back the fashion crown from Princess Beatrice with major new honor

Kate Middleton has officially reclaimed her place at the top of Britain’s fashion hierarchy.

The Princess of Wales has been named the best-dressed person in the United Kingdom in Tatler’s annual Best Dressed List for 2026, returning to the No. 1 spot for the first time since 2022.

The magazine hailed the future queen as “Britain’s chicest figure,” praising the polished wardrobe that has once again become a defining feature of royal engagements following her gradual return to public duties.

The recognition marks another milestone in Kate’s comeback year. She succeeds the joint 2025 winners, aristocrat Lady Lola Bute and actress Jazzy de Lisser, while also reclaiming the fashion title from Princess Beatrice, who topped Tatler’s ranking in 2024 during Kate’s absence from public life as she focused on her health.
