It’s no secret that James Middleton is one devoted dog dad. The owner of six adorable pups, the brother of the Princess of Wales, is unable to hide his adoration for his four-legged friends.
And it was no different on Friday when the dad-of-one stepped out in Chelsea amid the Chelsea Flower Show with his pooch Mabel. The sweet dog in question was featured in a series of stunning photographs posing in front of the decadent displays set up in front of shops, in honour of the annual show in SW3.
“Chelsea was BLOOMING marvellous. Mabel insisted I took a photo at every display….which is your favourite there are 22 to choose from… you’re welcome,” James penned in the caption.
One moment saw Mabel posing in front of a floral head shaped like David Bowie’s face, complete with his iconic lightning stripe emblazoned across his face.
Others saw Mabel pose in a basket full of flowers on the front of a bicycle, beaming with her tongue out against the backdrop of two rather large floral ice cream cones, as well as in front of a flower-adorned police box.
Unsurprisingly, the snaps went down a treat with his friends and followers who couldn’t wait to weigh in. “Oooh, Mabel is gorgeous!” one replied. A second added, “Mabel can’t take a bad picture. ALL BEAUTIFUL!” Meanwhile, a third penned: “So many beautiful photos.”
James’ royal outing
The photos come just days after the entrepreneur, 39, was photographed with his sister’s mother-in-law, Queen Camilla, at a Clarence House reception in aid of Medical Detection Dogs.
James greeted Her Majesty with a kiss on her cheek at the royal residence. Camilla looked springtime chic in a red floral shirt dress from Bowden, meanwhile, James scrubbed up well in a suit and tie. After their brief embrace to kiss on the cheeks, they shared smiles as they chatted with fellow guests.
© Getty ImagesAs Patron of Medical Detection Dogs (MDD), Queen Camilla hosted a reception at her home, to celebrate the charity. MDD trains life-saving Medical Alert Assistance Dogs and Bio Detection Dogs, both of which can be trained to detect smells caused by medical conditions. In fact, these “dogs can detect multiple cancers in breath samples with over 90 per cent accuracy” a study co-authored by the charity found.
James was in attendance due to his role as an official ambassador for the charity. He is well known for his love of dogs and his prominence in the sector, with his own dog food brand, James & Ella, inspired by his late dog Ella, who he says “saved his life” amid his battle with depression.
