Katie Holmes has been a household name since she broke out as Joey Potter on Dawson’s Creek, starring on the hit show for all six seasons. She went on to land major film roles, including playing Rachel Dawes opposite Christian Bale in Batman Begins, while continuing to build a steady career across film and television.

Off screen, Katie’s personal life drew widespread attention during her marriage to Tom Cruise. The two tied the knot in 2006 and welcomed their daughter, Suri Cruise, that same year. After their highly publicized divorce in 2012, Katie has largely kept her private life out of the spotlight while focusing on raising Suri.

In recent years, she’s expanded her work behind the camera, writing, directing, and starring in projects like Alone Together and Rare Objects, while continuing to take on acting roles. She has also returned to the stage, starring in a 2026 production of Hedda Gabler at The Old Globe in San Diego.
