Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos are putting their daughter on notice. In a new episode of “Live with Kelly and Mark,” the couple opened up about their daughter, Lola Consuelos, and her incredibly messy bedroom.
In an episode that aired on Wednesday, Ripa and Consuelos talked about Lola’s bedroom, with Ripa asking her husband what he thought of his daughter’s bedroom in London, where she lives. “That was wild, what was going on in there,” said Ripa. “I kept hoping that she would, at some point, go into her closet and take some of that with [her] or donate it.”
Consuelos had the same reaction. “You’re leaving our house. Why is this stuff here? What is all this?” he asked. “You’re going to be responsible for younger people, theoretically, at some point. So, you need to get this under control, or you’re gonna raise a bunch of [kids who do] this.”
According to Consuelos, the comment didn’t land for Lola. “Dad, it’s 6:30 in the morning. You’re talking to me about my kids?” she reportedly said.
“They’re not here yet. God willing, they’ll come someday. But you’re gonna have to get this managed at some point,'” Consuelos continued.

Lola “won the Cleanest Camper award for three years in a row,” said Ripa. “The teachers in school had [her] organize other kids’ desks and closets because [she was] the cleanest student. What is happening here?”
Despite Lola’s mess, her parents love her. “She is a net asset, that child. She walks into a room, and everything gets more fun,” Ripa said.
“Just don’t walk into her room,” added Consuelos.
Lola’s London life and pursuit of music
© Bruce Glikas/WireImageLola Consuelos is the middle child of Ripa and Consuelos’ kids. She’s based in London and is a singer and songwriter, with her parents often talking about her talent. Late last year, Ripa and Consuelos flew to London to watch Lola on her first live performance.
In footage captured by our sister website HELLO!, Lola is seen onstage, holding back tears. “If anyone’s confused, my parents just flew in to surprise me,” she said.
Ripa and Consuelos later explained that they traveled to London against their daughter’s wishes. “She was so nervous leading up to this thing. And we wanted to go, but we didn’t want to add any more pressure by us being there,” said Mark in an episode of their show. “She told us not to go, specifically,” Ripa added.
