Khloé Kardashian is opening up about the possibility of expanding her family again, and her latest comments reveal a surprising shift in how she’s thinking about motherhood. During a recent episode of her podcast Khloé in Wonder Land, the reality star shared that she still has frozen embryos and has briefly considered having another child on her own.
The candid conversation offered a deeper look into how her perspective has evolved since previously saying she would only have more children if she were married.
Khloé Kardashian Says She Still Has Frozen Embryos
While answering fan questions on her podcast, Kardashian discussed the topic of future children. The Khloud Foods co-founder, who is already mom to two kids, admitted she has a few embryos remaining from her fertility journey. “I do have a few more embryos in the freezer. And I was like, I don’t think I have the energy for another baby, but I do think girls need sisters,” Kardashian said.
She explained that the idea stems partly from her own upbringing. Growing up in a large family with sisters shaped how she views sibling relationships and support systems. “It could just be how I was raised, like I feel like Tatum is gonna be fine, but a girl needs her sister, and I think maybe because that was my experience,” she continued.
Although the idea has crossed her mind, Kardashian emphasized that it’s still only a thought and not necessarily something she plans to pursue.
Khloé Kardashian Considers Having Another Baby on Her Own
During the conversation, Kardashian revealed she has wondered whether she could use one of the embryos and have another child independently. “But I think I have one girl left, and I have been contemplating, like, do I just do this? Do it on my own, do this?” she said.
However, she quickly admitted that emotional and physical demands might make that decision difficult. “But I don’t know if emotionally I could handle this. It’s just been a thought. I don’t think it’s going to happen, because I don’t have the energy.”
Her comments appeared to surprise members of her production team off-camera, highlighting how personal the topic still is for her.
A Different Surrogacy Experience
If Kardashian ever did decide to expand her family again, she shared that she would likely approach the process differently than she did with her son. Her son Tatum, now 3, was born via surrogate during a time she has previously described as emotionally complicated. Kardashian explained that if she attempted another pregnancy through surrogacy, she would want a more positive and supportive experience.
“Because also I was thinking, I would put the baby in a surrogate, and I think I would have a very different experience because I would be along for that surrogate journey, as opposed to all the trauma that surrounded Tatum’s surrogate experience,” she said.
She also acknowledged the unpredictability of embryo transfers. “But when you put an embryo in, there’s no guarantee that it will take. So I also was thinking I could try that, and if it doesn’t work, then it means that God didn’t want me to have another baby, and that’s fine. But I don’t even think I have the emotional capacity.”
The Sweet Reason Behind the Idea
The biggest motivation behind the thought of another baby is her daughter, True, who is now 7. Kardashian joked that True is already aware there may be a future sibling stored in an unusual place.
“And True knows she has a sister in the freezer. And she will tell people that. I’m like, we need context, though. They’ll think I have a little girl in my freezer,” Kardashian said.
Ultimately, Kardashian admitted the idea of giving True a sister is the main reason she’s considered it at all. “That’s the only thing is why I want to do it,” she said.
Khloé Kardashian Previously Said She Wanted to Be Married First
Kardashian’s recent reflections contrast with comments she madebabout expanding her family. In February, she shared that she felt content with her two children and would only consider having more kids if she remarried.
“I’ve learned to never say never. I don’t know. I think if I’m married and have a husband, then I would be open [to] it,” Kardashian explained at the time. “But I’m not just having kids. Like, I want a partner.”
She also clarified that she currently isn’t dating anyone. “Right now, I’m not even dating anyone,” she said, joking, “You know, I am 40, the clock is ticking!”
Khloé Kardashian Reflects on Family and Motherhood
Kardashian shares her children True Thompson and Tatum Thompson with ex-partner Tristan Thompson. Family has always played a major role in her life, and she frequently credits her upbringing for shaping her parenting values.
Growing up with multiple siblings created a strong sense of connection that she hopes her own children can experience. While she hasn’t made any final decisions about a third child, her comments show she’s still thinking deeply about what the future of her family might look like.
For now, Kardashian says she feels fulfilled with the family she already has, even as the possibility of another baby remains an open question.
