Meet David Haye’s girlfriend with ‘ugly bird personality’ who was forced to defend him

David Haye has courted plenty of controversy during his time in the jungle on the latest edition of I’m a Celebrity: South Africa. Alongside comments about Gemma Collins’s weight, he also claimed that his girlfriend, Sian Osborne, had the personality of an “ugly bird”.

While gathered around the campfire, the former boxer said: “Most ugly girls realise they’re not pretty enough… they’ve got to have a personality to banter and tell jokes to overlook that they’re not aesthetically amazing straight away.”

Despite his remarks leaving his fellow campmates shellshocked, he continued: “Most ugly girls realise they’ve got to have a personality, it’s called Ugly Duckling syndrome, when girls are ugly when they start off, they get pretty as they get older, but they’ve still got the personality of when they’re ugly.”

Despite his thoughts on her looks, David was pleased with her culinary skills.

Sian’s response to comments

According to a report in The Sun, Sian has dismissed claims that David is sexist, and that while she understands why people were “upset” over his remarks, she clarified that the 45-year-old meant it “as a compliment”.

The report continued that Sian found her partner’s comments “really funny” and that he has always treated her with the “utmost respect”. It also said that David was actually using the theory to boast how Sian has both “the stunning looks and killer personality”.

Who is Sian Osborne?

Sian is a professional model, and she has appeared on the covers of publications like Nylon and Style, as well as modelling for David’s company, Black Mask Company. 

The pair started dating in 2020, although they initially kept their relationship out of the spotlight. However, the couple do now appear at events together, including Wimbledon, where they’ve been spotted with David’s son, Cassius.

There have been reports that David and Sian are in a throuple, with former Saturdays singer Una Healy claimed to be part of it. However, the singer distanced herself from the claims, claiming that she needed to look up the meaning of the word.

Helen Flanagan, who has also been romantically linked to David, clarified that the boxer and Sian have an “open relationship”.
