A post was shared on the official Miss Universe Jamaica Instagram. “In Loving Memory of LaToya Malcolm,” reads the post’s caption.
“We mourn the passing of MUJ alumna LaToya Malcolm, who proudly competed in the 2024 Miss Universe Jamaica Competition.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and loved ones.
Rest peacefully, LaToya. You will never be forgotten.”
The post featured a portrait of Malcolm and contained a small dedication to her and her history with the organization.
“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Miss Universe Jamaica alumna LaToya Malcolm, who proudly competed in the 2024 Miss Universe Jamaica Competition. Our heartfelt condolences are with her family, friends, and loved ones. Rest peacefully, LaToya. You will never be forgotten,” read the message.
Malcolm’s cause of death has yet to be revealed, with the organization sharing no further news.
Malcolm competed in the 2024 Miss Universe Jamaica pageant, going on to win the 2024 Miss Jamaica Bikini International title.
She was an actress, dancer, and entertainer with over a decade of experience in the industry, with her work based primarily in Jamaica. On her social media, Malcolm posted regular photos of her life, work, and travels. In April of this year, she shared a post celebrating the winner of the Miss Jamaica Bikini International 2026, showing that she remained involved in the organization years after her competition.
“Congratulations again ladies, well done to the new winner of the coveted award “Miss Jamaica Bikini International” 2026. All the best on your journey Susan,” she wrote in a post, showing her alongside the competition’s winner.

“I met her in 2024 when I did makeup for Miss Universe East, and to hear this has shaken my world. So young and talented. May God comfort her family and friends,” wrote a follower.
