Paris Jackson has reassured fans after undergoing a health check following an outpouring of concern over her appearance in a recent social media post.
The 28-year-old singer shared a candid clip from an ultrasound appointment on her Instagram Stories over the weekend after followers pointed out what they believed looked unusual about her neck.
“Getting an ultrasound to check out my lymphs since y’all pointed out how weird my neck looked on my last post,” Paris wrote over the video, which showed her undergoing the examination.
A few hours later, the daughter of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe admitted the comments had left her rattled.
“A bunch of people pointed out that my neck looks f—ing weird in the last video that I posted,” she explained. “So I’m, like, freaking out. Like, ‘Oh, that is weird, crazy.’ I have someone come to my rehearsal studio and do an ultrasound on my throat.”
Paris went on to reassure fans that she had already undergone blood tests and that the results had come back normal. She also explained that after reviewing older videos of herself, she realised her neck has always looked similar while speaking or singing.
“I think my neck just does weird s— when I talk,” she said. “I think this is just my neck, and y’all are freaking me out, thinking there’s something wrong.”
The “Bandaid” singer revealed she has been deep in rehearsals ahead of her upcoming appearance at the 2026 BottleRock Napa Valley festival, admitting the speculation surrounding her health had made her anxious about her voice.
“I’m like, ‘Is my voice gonna be okay?’” she said. “I think my throat’s weird.”
In a follow-up update, Paris shared more positive news after further checks.
“There’s the slightest amount of redness on my vocal cords, but there’s no calluses,” she explained, before revealing the real reason her neck muscles appeared so pronounced.
“The reason my neck looks as weird as it does is just because I have exercised those muscles from singing for so long, and that just happens with singers. It’s just more obvious in me because I am skinny.”
Paris is preparing to release her latest music project, Teenage Drama, on May 22, marking another milestone in her evolving music career following the release of her debut studio album Wilted in 2022.
The actress and model has also been candid in recent years about her health struggles and sobriety journey. In January, she reflected openly on overcoming alcohol and heroin addiction, writing on Instagram: “Getting sober ain’t always the indication that life is perfect.”
She added: “Treatment resistant major depressive disorder is a bitch. So is CPSTD. And OCD.” Last year, Paris also spoke honestly with followers on TikTok about having a perforated septum caused by past drug use. “That is from what you think it’s from,” she said at the time. “Don’t do drugs, kids.”
