Princess Charlotte showed her brothers, Prince George and Prince Louis, how it’s done at Trooping the Colour as she outdid the royals with one simple move.
The Prince and Princess of Wales’ three children joined their parents and other senior members of the royal family for the annual celebration on Saturday. While gathering on the Buckingham Palace balcony with the rest of the royals, Charlotte was praised as a “little star” for her quick response to the national anthem playing during the parade.
In a video shared on X (formerly Twitter), the young royal was the first to quickly stand to attention once she heard the opening notes ring out. Charlotte stood perfectly straight with her arms by her side, with the rest of the royals, including her brothers, following suit.
“She’s such a little star,” the social media account that posted the video, @RoyallyBelle_, commended the 11-year-old.
“Her great grandmother would be so proud,” one person remarked in the replies.
Others compared the young royal to her great-aunt, Princess Anne, who has modelled a calm and poised appearance at royal events and become known for her work ethic. “She’s got a little Princess Anne running through her,” someone pointed out. “I think she models Aunt Anne, since she’s also most likely to be Princess Royal,” another said.

Body language expert Darren Stanton revealed to HELLO! that Charlotte’s behaviour was setting a perfect example for her brothers, “who can be slightly more unpredictable”, on how to behave in public.

“Charlotte is leading the way here in terms of how to behave accordingly. She comes across as in control and wanting to make her parents proud.”

© WireImageCharlotte looked lovely in an angelic off-white dress by Alessandra Rich, as identified by Royal Fashion account Kate Middleton Styled, for the Trooping celebrations. The bespoke dress featured a traditional collar with appliqué detail and a statement bow at the nape of her neck.
Charlotte teamed her dress with a pair of Pretty Ballerinas ballet pumps and wore her hair half up with a matching white bow by Jane Taylor London in the back. While her mother, the Princess of Wales, wore blue for the occasion, Charlotte coordinated with her great-aunt, the Duchess of Edinburgh.
Sophie matched the young royal in an off-white dress belted dress with a sharp collar. She complemented her Trooping look with with a white hat adorned with an extravagant floral detail.
