Animal print is having another major fashion moment heading into Fall 2026, with leopard emerging as an easy way to bring personality to otherwise classic wardrobe staples. Mary’s flats did exactly that, adding a playful finish to an outfit built around timeless pieces.

Her denim was equally on trend. Wide-leg and relaxed jeans continue to dominate, with one of the season’s key styling formulas pairing looser silhouettes with polished pieces like structured blazers and flats. Mary put a royal spin on the combination, adding a slim brown belt that coordinated with her rich autumnal tailoring.

Relaxed royal beauty:

Mary carried the effortless approach into her beauty look. The 54-year-old wore her brunette hair loose around her shoulders, styled with natural movement and a smooth, glossy finish.

Her makeup remained similarly understated, with softly defined eyes, luminous skin, warm color across her cheeks, and a natural rosy lip.

The fashion and beauty choices created a noticeably relaxed take on royal dressing, proving that jeans and flats can feel every bit as polished as a more traditional daytime ensemble.

And with chocolate brown, wide-leg denim and leopard print all appearing in the same look, Queen Mary may have just delivered an early blueprint for fall dressing.

A meaningful outing centered on young people:

Queen Mary wore the relaxed ensemble during a visit to Momentet, a social psychiatric residence for young adults ages 18 to 35 who are living with mental health and social challenges.

The Queen made the appearance in her role as patron of the Diakonissestiftelsen, the organization behind the residence.
