Rob Lowe’s wife Sheryl Berkoff, 65, looks incredibly youthful in sweet birthday selfie

Rob Lowe had fans doing a double take after sharing a new photo of his wife, Sheryl Berkoff, in honour of her birthday.

The actor marked Sheryl’s 65th birthday on June 20 with a relaxed close-up selfie of the pair sitting side by side during what appeared to be a laid-back lunch date.

Rob, 62, looked casual in a black polo shirt and chunky silver watch, while Sheryl looked stunning in a fitted black top beneath a glossy jacket. Her long blonde hair fell in loose waves around her shoulders, while layered gold necklaces and soft glam makeup completed the polished look.

It was Sheryl’s radiant, youthful appearance that immediately caught fans’ attention, with followers flooding the comments section to praise the jewellery designer and wish her a happy birthday.

The couple have been together for more than three decades, making theirs one of the most enduring marriages in showbusiness. Rob and Sheryl first met on a blind date in 1983 but did not begin dating until years later, when she worked as a makeup artist on the 1989 film Bad Influence. They married in 1991 and went on to welcome two sons: Matthew, 32, and John Owen, 30.

Rob has frequently credited Sheryl with helping him create the stable, grounded family life he had always wanted. The actor entered rehab in 1990 and has been sober ever since, often describing sobriety as the foundation of the life he shares with Sheryl and their sons.

In an interview with People in 2025, the actor said he was feeling better than ever. “In every area of my life, I’ve never been happier and I say this with all gratitude and humility. I’ve never had more opportunity. I’ve never been more engaged. I’ve never, as the kids would say today, felt more seen and I’ve never felt better.”

The pair have kept their relationship largely private over the years, but regularly appear together at red-carpet events and family milestones. They also share a famously close relationship with their sons, who have both worked with their father professionally.

John Owen starred opposite Rob in Netflix comedy Unstable, playing the son of Rob’s eccentric biotech entrepreneur, while Matthew has worked behind the scenes in business and production.

Rob, who rose to fame as part of Hollywood’s Brat Pack in the 1980s with films including The Outsiders and St. Elmo’s Fire, has enjoyed one of the more impressive career reinventions in the industry. He went on to earn acclaim for The West Wing, found a new generation of fans in Parks and Recreation, and recently fronted 9-1-1: Lone Star.

But while Rob remains one of television’s most recognisable leading men, Sheryl has long been the glamorous constant by his side.

Their latest selfie was a reminder that, nearly 35 years after saying “I do”, the couple still look every bit as loved-up as ever.
