Sheinelle Jones has been feeling the love this week, and rightly so!
The Today star released her debut book, Through Mom’s Eyes, on April 14, and received the sweetest surprise at work to celebrate it.
Sheinelle was overcome with emotion on the Fourth Hour after being surprised on air with a visit from her three children, Kayin, 16, and twins Clara and Uche Jr, 13.
The doting mom started to cry as she hugged her children, who walked out carrying flowers and a framed print of Sheinelle’s book cover.
After the footage – which can be viewed above – was shared on social media, viewers took to the comments section to have their say. “I’m just over here crying,” one wrote, while another remarked: “They’re crying, I’m crying, it’s a beautiful moment.” A third added: “The sweetest!! Such beautiful children, and a beautiful mama! I was bawling like a baby watching this, so touching.”
The book launch has been bittersweet for Sheinelle and her family. It was delayed for almost a year due to the star’s husband Uche Ojeh passing. Sheinelle made a promise to her late husband to continue writing it. “I promised him I wouldn’t give up on this,” she said.
The book features a collection of life lessons from mothers in the public eye and from those who raised famous faces, including the moms of Lady Gaga and Steph Curry.
