Taylor Swift fans have found another detail to dissect after photos of her reported bridal bouquet toss began circulating online. While many focused on the sentimental tradition itself, others zeroed in on the bouquet’s unconventional appearance and a hidden reference to Swift’s favorite number, 13.

The floral arrangement quickly became one of the most talked-about topics among Swifties and wedding fans, with social media users split over whether it was another carefully planned Easter egg or simply an artistic bouquet that missed the mark.

She captioned the post: “Celebrated an Enchanting Love S(T&T)ory 🤍✨🤍. And somehow…I ended up catching Tay Tay’s bouquet. 💐 So here’s to believing it’s bringing a lifetime of love, luck, and laughter my way. ☺️ Congratulations, Taylor & Travis! Cheers to forever T&T! 🤍🥂🤍.”

The images quickly spread across social media, with fans zooming in on every floral detail. As often happens with Swift-related moments, theories soon followed.

One of the biggest talking points centered on the bouquet’s use of Queen Anne’s Lace.

Wedding experts have noted that lace is traditionally associated with a 13th wedding anniversary, leading some fans to wonder whether the flower choice was a subtle nod to Swift’s long-standing connection with the number 13.

Swift has embraced 13 throughout her career. She was born on December 13, has repeatedly called it her lucky number, and has incorporated it into performances, album releases, and personal milestones for years.

Others, however, argued that Queen Anne’s Lace is already a popular flower for romantic, garden-inspired weddings and that its inclusion may have simply reflected the florist’s overall design.

The Bouquet’s Appearance Sparks Strong Reactions

While the symbolism generated plenty of discussion, the bouquet’s appearance became an even bigger topic online. Its loose, natural arrangement drew comparisons to freshly picked wildflowers, but not everyone appreciated the aesthetic.

Several commenters criticized the bouquet’s condition after the toss, suggesting it looked wilted or lacked structure. “Girl. That looks like a bunch of dead flowers a child picked for their mom. Be so for real,” a person wrote on Instagram.

“Heavy on the ‘effortless,'” another added. A third simply said: “Lookin’ like cilantro.”

A fan wrote: “I love Taylor but what the helly is this?! Looks like she went out back behind the venue and picked the weeds.”

Others focused on the practical side of the arrangement. One florist commented, “As a florist, I’m terrified as this will be what we all get asked to make for the next 2 to 5 years.” Another floral professional pointed out that toss bouquets typically need sturdier flowers to withstand being thrown. “As a florist, I usually advise using more sturdy florals for a toss bouquet to prevent it looking all sad after tossing. As pretty as Queen Anne’s Lace and poppies are, I wouldn’t have even recognised this as a bouquet,” the expert added.

Another viewer questioned whether the flowers had simply been left without water for too long. “Holy cow, what happened? Did the florist not provide a vase? The planner forgot? This would be my nightmare,” she said.

While the bouquet’s appearance continues to divide opinion, The Knot had florist expert, Kelsea Olivia, dissect the symbolism. That “lace is actually the traditional theme for a 13th wedding anniversary, and Queen Anne’s Lace has become associated with that anniversary because of the name,” she told the outlet. “For all the reasons we already know, Taylor loves the number 13. Given how much thirteen means to her, it’s hard not to wonder if that was intentional or just a happy coincidence.”
