Tom Brady and Logan Paul took their ongoing feud to a new level at Fanatics Fest 2026 — and this time, things got physical.
The seven-time Super Bowl champion shocked fans on Friday when he appeared to slap the WWE star and YouTube personality during an onstage appearance at the annual sports and entertainment convention. The unexpected moment immediately drew cheers from the crowd and sparked speculation online about whether the confrontation was genuine or part of an elaborate publicity stunt.
As tensions escalated, New York Knicks center Karl-Anthony Towns stepped in, holding Paul back before the situation could go any further.
Brady Keeps the Trash Talk Going Online
Brady wasn’t done once he left the stage.
The retired NFL icon took to social media later that evening, continuing his playful jabs at Paul by referring to him as a “dork” in one post and a “nerd” in another.
While it’s unclear how serious the rivalry actually is, the two have been exchanging barbs publicly for months, turning their back-and-forth into one of the more entertaining celebrity feuds of the year.
Paul later suggested Friday’s confrontation stemmed from lingering tension surrounding the Fanatics Flag Football Classic, where the pair previously crossed paths earlier this year.
How the Tom Brady-Logan Paul Feud Began
The unlikely rivalry dates back to February, when Paul confidently claimed that his WWE experience made him just as athletic as professional football players.
Considering Paul’s reputation for stirring the pot, the comments were hardly surprising. The social media star has built much of his career on generating headlines, whether through boxing matches, podcast appearances, or his work as one of WWE’s biggest attractions.
Brady wasted no time firing back.
“You might wear a helmet — that ball might get loose in my hand and if you’re not paying attention,” Brady joked during the draft for the Fanatics Flag Football Classic.
The former quarterback ultimately followed through on his warning. During the March event, Brady famously launched a football in Paul’s direction, adding another chapter to their increasingly entertaining feud.
Is Tom Brady Headed to WWE?
Friday’s slap wasn’t the only headline Brady made at Fanatics Fest.
During an appearance on WWE Champion Cody Rhodes’ live podcast, What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Brady admitted that stepping into a WWE ring is something he’s seriously interested in pursuing.
“I need to get an invite,” Brady said. “I’ve been waiting for Nick Khan to come up with some storyline for me to get in the mix. I feel like I’m retired from football, and I have an opportunity to go out there and still showcase that I’m a little bit of an athlete.”
It’s not the first time an athlete has transitioned into sports entertainment. Over the years, stars like Rob Gronkowski, Pat McAfee, Ronda Rousey, and Bad Bunny have all found success in WWE, proving that crossover appearances can become major attractions.
Given Brady’s competitive personality and his comfort in front of massive crowds, fans are already imagining what a potential WWE run could look like.
A Match With Logan Paul May Have to Wait
If Brady does eventually make his WWE debut, fans hoping for an immediate showdown with Paul may need to be patient.
The WWE star is currently sidelined after suffering a torn triceps during an event on May 23 and is expected to spend several months recovering.
Still, that hasn’t stopped the speculation.
Whether Friday’s slap was a legitimate moment or carefully orchestrated entertainment, one thing is clear: Brady and Paul know how to keep people talking. And with Brady openly campaigning for a WWE storyline, the possibility of seeing the NFL legend trade the football field for the squared circle suddenly doesn’t seem so far-fetched.
