Tom Holland has finally confirmed what fans have been speculating for months! He and Zendaya are officially married. The revelation came during a new cover story interview with Esquire, in which the actor addressed viral AI-generated wedding photos that falsely portrayed the couple as getting married on Italy’s picturesque Lake Como.
What began as a conversation about fake images unexpectedly turned into the first public confirmation that the longtime couple had already tied the knot. While discussing the AI photos, Holland shared a funny family reaction. He revealed that his grandmother saw the images online and worried she hadn’t been invited to the wedding.
When Esquire asked whether he had to reassure other relatives that the photos were fake, Holland said: “No, because they were all there.” With that simple answer, the “Spider-Man” star confirmed that the wedding had indeed taken place. When pressed for additional details about the ceremony, Holland shut down further questions, saying, “That’s all you’ll get on that.”
Zendaya Previously Dodged Wedding Questions
Before Holland’s confirmation, Zendaya had carefully avoided directly addressing rumors about their relationship status. Earlier this year, while promoting her wedding-themed movie, “The Drama,” she appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where the host brought up widespread speculation that she and Holland had secretly married.
“I’m sure you know the internet has gone berserk with stories that you might actually be married to Tom,” Kimmel said. Zendaya playfully responded: “Really? I haven’t seen any of that!”
Law Roach Sparked Marriage Speculation Months Earlier
The biggest clue may have come from Zendaya’s longtime stylist and close friend, Law Roach. Back in March, Roach surprised reporters when he casually declared, “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.”
At the time, neither Holland nor Zendaya commented on the statement, allowing speculation to continue.
During the Oscars red carpet interviews on March 15, Entertainment Tonight hosts Nischelle Turner and Kevin Frazier attempted to get Roach to confirm the reported wedding. The stylist chose humor instead of a straight answer. As he wrapped up the interview, he admitted, “I got a lot of calls” after mentioning the wedding weeks earlier.
Roach faced the same question during another Oscars red carpet interview with Etalk. He avoided confirming or denying the marriage. “You know what? I really wanted those Chanel shoes that just dropped the other day, but I didn’t make it to the store in time. So hopefully I can still get them,” he said.
Tom Holland Calls Zendaya His “Best Friend”
Although Holland remained tight-lipped about the wedding itself, he spoke openly about the role Zendaya plays in his life and why their relationship works. Reflecting on the pressures of fame and working in Hollywood, he explained as reported by People. “Our business can present very stressful situations and it’s really nice to have a bedrock of a relationship that will stand the test of time,” he said.
He continued: “We can support each other in ways that only we can, because only we understand really what it’s like to live this life, and I think that is such a luxury, because I just don’t understand how I would be able to have anything like that with anyone else.”
The actor also shared an emotional tribute to his wife, adding, “So, for me, I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her, but I have also never felt so supported and safe, ever. Period.”
Hollywood’s Most Private Power Couple
Holland and Zendaya first met while filming the “Spider-Man: Homecoming” franchise and officially confirmed their relationship in 2021. Since then, they have largely kept their romance out of public scrutiny, making only occasional appearances together, as reported by The Guardian.
Their commitment to privacy appears to have extended to their wedding as well. Despite months of rumors, public sightings of wedding bands, and comments from people close to the couple, neither star publicly acknowledged the marriage until Holland’s latest interview.
The pair recently reunited on the red carpet in Madrid for their first major joint appearance in four years.
