Set years before the events of the original films starring Reese Witherspoon, the show follows a 16-year-old Elle Woods during her high school years, exploring the pivotal life experiences that molded her into the beloved character treasured by audiences worldwide.

It’s safe to say that viewers are loving the comedy, with some hailing it as “perfect” and binge-watching all eight episodes in one day.

Created by Laura Kittrell (High School, Insecure), the series is set in 1995 and follows Elle as she moves from LA to suburban Seattle, where she navigates the “tumultuous waters of high school where she encounters tricky friendships, forbidden romance and questionable fashion choices”.

The series received positive reviews from critics, with The Times hailing it as a “nice, slick nostalgia fix, a throwback to simpler, happier times,” in its three-star review, while NME handed out four stars, calling it a “peppy, hot pink delight”.
