Hustle was one of the BBC’s most popular crime shows during the 00s, with the programme attracting millions of viewers during its eight-year run.

The show followed the exploits of ‘Mickey Bricks’ Stone, played by Adrian Lester, and his team of con artists, who specialise in a ‘long con’. The characters adopted a Robin Hood mentality, only targeting immoral marks before rinsing them of their cash.

Despite the show coming to a conclusion in 2012, many fans have been hoping for its return, and during an appearance on BBC Breakfast on Wednesday, Adrian revealed that there were “conversations” around a revival of the gritty show.

The 57-year-old shared: ” I was much younger then, it finished 20 years ago. Just between us, if you don’t tell anyone, there’s always conversations about it possibly coming back.

Hustle could be returning to our screens

“It’s something that’s been really well loved by the public, it was a great success for BBC and for Kudos, the producers, and we are ever hopeful that in some way, shape, or form, it might come back on our screens.”

But what have the stars been up to since the show first aired nearly two decades ago? Scroll down to find out…

He’s also appeared in several major blockbusters like The Day After Tomorrow, Doomsday, Jimi: All Is by My Side and Mary Queen of Scots.

However, it’s Adrian’s theatre career that has established him as one of the faces of British acting, with the star having major roles in As You Like It, Hamlet, Henry V, Othello and Cyrano de Bergerac.  Adrian made his Broadway debut in 2021, appearing as various characters in The Lehman Trilogy; his performance earned from a Tony nomination.
